Biography

Hester worked in the public sector as an administrative and accounting assistant for several years.

In 2013, Hester joined the staff of the Georgia Public Safety Training Center (GPSTC) in the Georgia Police Academy Division, while also pursuing her Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology – Digital Forensics. In this position, she was an administrative assistant for the Anti-Terrorism Training Section as well as the Impaired Driving Enforcement & Speed Detection Training Sections.

While graduating in 2017 with her degree, Hester was promoted to the Instructional Services Division at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center.

In her current position, Hester is a part of the Curriculum Development team. She also manages and maintains all GPSTC online courses alongside filming training videos and graphic designing. Recently, she helped create the “Start the Conversation” documentary discussing public safety stress, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, line of duty deaths, suicide, and best practices for public safety agencies.
